We need coaches!
Our organization is 100% volunteer run and not for profit. If you would like more information on different ways that you can help, please email us. You can get involved with less of a time commitment than you think.
You can sign up to be a coach or manager while registering your player for an upcoming soccer season.
Coaching Pass / Risk Management
An important step in establishing or maintaining yourself as a staff member of MESC is going through the New York State West Youth Soccer Association risk management background screening process. During this process you will create an identity within US Soccer and GotSport to securely enter some information about yourself, including a photo. This information will be used to create a risk management coaching pass which you will need at NYSWYSA sanctioned events.
Passes are good for 2 years from the date of completion. Safesport training will remain as an annual revolving calendar year requirement. The training sequence is Core -> Refresher 1 -> Refresher 2 -> Refresher 3 -> Core
To begin the MESC Risk Management coaching pass application and take the SafeSport training:
Go to https://system.gotsport.com
It is imperative that you:
- Verify that your GotSport account has your full legal name, date of birth and physical address.
- Use your correct social security number.
To start or verify both your RM and SafeSport applications:
1) Create an account or login to GotSport.
2) If the page background is blue: On the left vertical navigation bar click on your picture. (Upload your picture if it's missing)
If the page background is green you are already in the correct spot.
